    I would like somebody to give me some advice because all the information that I find is in dutch, I want to go to holland this simmer and there are a lot of routes we are going for maximum to weeks and I would be very pleased if somebody could advice me what route or what part of the country(the coast ,across from west to east..) and also what is the average distance that you can cycle in a day with luggage..

    I cycle almost every working day 35 km. This means that I am well trained. Each year I do a few longer trips and 100km a day is no problem.

    Start at 09.00 and continue untill 20.00 hour. In between you can take all kinds of breaks. The mean speed after a day is appr. 20km/hour

    When you have not enough experience than 15km/hour is a good figure.

    In the Netherlands are longdfistance trips.

    Go to: www.fietsplatform.nl (oke dutch language but let`s continue)

    click on: landelijke fietsroutes

    click on the map and you see our country with all those routes.

    To start you can make a plan where you like to go, want to see..

    All of these routes are cycle routes and very well to do. They are all marked with plates so losing your way would not be a big problem.

    Maps with the routes and information can be bought at all the tourist-offices.

    Tip;

    There is an organisation: Vrienden op de fiets. This means: Bed and Brekfast special for cyclers.

    go to: www.vriendenopdefiets.nl

    click on: english version (on the top)
